It's ridiculous how long it has taken me to update this thing. So what's new?? Everything. We had an amazing Christmas , we got to go home to see family in Las Vegas. Pictures from that are still pending :) We had a blast with nieces and nephews and siblings and parents. It was so good to see our friends too.

Then we took a plane back to Fayetteville and arrived for an ice storm, the first of many this winter. We have freezing rain here which is really interesting, it's actually kind of awesome to see but not to drive on apparently. We only get a couple inches of snow, really mild compared to Provo, but with all the hills and the freezing rain, the road can be really slick. We took some pics the day after one of the snow storms...

Other than that we have been keeping busy with work still for me, everything is going good and I am liking nursing a lot. Then I got called into the primary presidency in our ward which keeps me pretty busy. I'm over scouts and I love it. :) It is so fun to work with kids.

Seth is doing really good too. We decided after a lot of thought to take this year off of law school and both work. Seth is working for a Senior Activity Center. The center is not a nursing home or assisted living but instead a place for seniors to learn new things, eat a hot meal, and have lots of fun. Seth also is working with the Meals on Wheels program. One thing we've learned is the Lord definitely has a plan for us, we just need to find out what He wants and do it. Anyways we love you all and glad to hear everyone is doing good. :)

We also had our friend Crystalee come and stay with us for a weekend. We checked out some of the fun little towns and ate extremely well. The pics below are from some of our adventures with her.

What a tornado of a month!

So the last month has been pretty much insane... just really busy with some interesting happenings. It started with general conference which was amazing and I'm so glad I finally got time off on Saturday to watch it live this year. It was really great. I felt the spirit really strong and I know the prophet love us dearly. I'm thankful the Lord gives us prophets on the earth today. The next week we were at an enrichment activity and the tornado sirens went off for a tornado warning... kinda scary. They had us all hiding in the bathroom first, then one of the priesthood leaders came in and told us to all to go home before the storm hit. To my great dismay, I GOT IN THE CAR ONLY TO SEE WE WERE OUT OF GAS! The rain was whipping and the wind was blowing really hard, and I was scared picturing myself on the side of the road stranded in a tornado. Needless to say I prayed a lot on the way home cause the church is about 15 min from our house. Seth was great when I called him and he coached me through the storm. The tornado didn't touch down thankfully, but the storm was fierce.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sttv3S_VpSI/AAAAAAAAAMA/pRcoU7o8HvY/s400/100_1035.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394027974487287074" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SttwcQdk4eI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/Ah61weM2q1s/s400/100_1038.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394028609463968226" />

Next highlight of the month, I made my first craft in like 12 years with some of my friends in the ward. It's a countdown to Halloween calender and for those of you who are aware of my crafty abilities, I am amazed I pulled it off! My friend Heather makes these and sells them online, so it was fun to make them with her. We also got to see my cousin John Hubbard and his wife Jenny, and Megan our cousin Luke's wife when they came up to see Jenny's parents who live close to us a few weeks ago. We had so much fun just eating out together! It was so great to see family!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sttwb2_LxQI/AAAAAAAAAMI/QjJjuqN42rk/s400/100_1036.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394028602625606914" />

Then the next awesome part of the month this last week. Lauren came to see me, one of great friends and roommates from college! We had a blast and it was so wonderful to see someone familiar from school! We went to the lake, the mall, out for some awesome b-bque and stayed up late talking about life. It was seriously so good to see her. The last great part of the month so far has been teaching lessons with the sister missionaries, we go out once a week, and stake conference which was today. Also the fall colors are changing and the trees are gorgeous!!!!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sttw9rNonWI/AAAAAAAAAMY/wpdayIrf87A/s400/100_1041.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394029183580544354" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sttx92xQe1I/AAAAAAAAANA/JgJzqoJbH8g/s400/100_1048.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394030286194375506" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sttx9FgVxeI/AAAAAAAAAM4/VC6pkB2cIr8/s400/100_1047.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394030272970081762" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sttx89wm36I/AAAAAAAAAMw/_wXYA55ilnU/s400/100_1046.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394030270890827682" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sttx8OvhbBI/AAAAAAAAAMo/3i4Ln_j5Q40/s400/100_1045.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394030258269809682" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sttx7ll4PKI/AAAAAAAAAMg/DWHJZXdTYuo/s400/100_1043.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394030247223508130" />

Lazy days of Summer.... Over!

Hi everyone! So sorry we haven't written for a while. I guess we've been pretty lame. So things are going pretty good here in old Arkansas. We have kind of adjusted to the enviornnment, although it's still really different from the west. We love all the nice people we've met though and the faith of the members of our church here is strong. They are so willing to be friendly to us. We have greatly appreciated hearing from family and friends while we've been out here though. It's helped make my life more happy :) I am loving work, I got a job at the hospital here working on the med/surg floor. I have really loved spending time with my patients and I'm treasuring the time I have now when I am orienting to spend one on one time with them and talk. I work three days a week, and keep busy the other days doing family history at the recreation center here, cleaning the apartment, playing on a city league volleyball team, and trying to become better friends with people in the ward. Seth keeps busy with school more school and school. He also has a great calling as the priests quorum counselor in the ward which he loves because he gets to be with the kids and teach a lesson every week. I just got a calling in relief society this week to be the teacher which I'm very excited about and I just hope I can do good job. It's a big responsibility to teach the gospel. Anyways other than that we are looking forward to football season starting, and... we have a brand new niece!!!!! John and Nikki had another baby girl named Leilah. She is so precious and we love her! We also got the fortune of being able to go to the temple yesterday! It was wonderful because it is a 4 hour drive to get there, but we made it there and back by 9pm and were able to do a session and some other stuff. The nearest temple is Okalhoma City and it is a small one, but it's still beautiful. Well folks that's our lives, be sure to let us know how you all are doing! lOVE YOU!!!!!!

Me dead after a 12 hr shift of bringin home the bacon

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SprcEc53pFI/AAAAAAAAALg/sjniWfEgVXY/s400/100_1018.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375851074256610386" />

The okalhoma city temple

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SprcQmYuf_I/AAAAAAAAALo/pVuwICorOS0/s400/100_1021.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375851282960383986" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SprcsG1upjI/AAAAAAAAALw/90lDj2ebZqM/s400/100_1028.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375851755528431154" />

Some scenic Arkansas landscape from our friends house

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SprdFQfF_dI/AAAAAAAAAL4/TU67nhXq-2A/s400/100_1016.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375852187614576082" />

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://sethandnat.blogspot.com/2009/08/lazy-days-of-summer-over.html' title='Lazy days of Summer.... We think it is cute and are so glad to be here. Our move happened pretty flawlessly and only took us about an hour to get everything out of the truck, up our stairs (ughh!) and into our apartment.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SmDrGPntnOI/AAAAAAAAALQ/ABYpjaCaV6o/s400/100_1015.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359542049075731682" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SmDsIVSbw4I/AAAAAAAAALY/u1srCc9jICE/s400/100_1014.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359543184468460418" />

We had two guys from our new Elder's Quorum come and help which saved us a ton of time. After getting everything in one of them asked us over for dinner so we have already gotten to know a few families here. Additionally we had other families come over to our apartment to meet us and introduce themselves. The ward here seems very close.

We have gone shopping, seen the school, talked to locals about football and this years team/coach, and Natalie has found a job already (Yippee!). Things have gone so good for us and we know we have been blessed.

Nat's job is in the Medical-Surgical unit of the hospital (for those of you who don't know what that means...myself included... it is the part of the hospital with lots of patients that are mildly sick, just had an operation, or still getting diagnosed. It's not the ER (which is nuts) but has tons of great experiences waiting for her. She will start soon and benefits pick up in only a month! The best part is that she works days, and gets every Sunday off! If you know the medical field then you will understand that this was a miracle as large as Moses parting the Red Sea. It worked out because the hospital just hired a Seventh Day Adventist woman who needs every Saturday off (their Sabbath) so they can switch!

The area is beautiful and so green... we can't wait to meet our new ward this Sunday. If any of you would like to experience a little Heaven (a more humid version) we would love to have you come and stay with us.

Also, here are some pictures from the 4th of July. We had a great time!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SmDrF7Fs4qI/AAAAAAAAALI/NhoOvSn8S1I/s400/100_1003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359542043564368546" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SmDrFvNXKOI/AAAAAAAAALA/LZnnssNwnn4/s400/100_1001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359542040375273698" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SmDrFEairRI/AAAAAAAAAK4/UqY_UDI0H1U/s400/100_0998.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359542028887829778" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SmDrE1s-s-I/AAAAAAAAAKw/sMQs6IhxY9o/s400/100_0994.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5359542024938632162" />

Vacation Highs and Lows

So...wow we are back from vacation and now living in Fayetteville Arkansas. I shouldn't really say "living" because we just rolled into town yesterday. It was such a long drive! 24 hours later we pulled in at about midnight to the city. I'm so glad the drive is over. It was really hard to leave our family and friends behind in Vegas. We had such a great time seeing eveyone. So the last few months have been a blur. After graduating from BYU, I successfully passed the NCLEX nursing exam so I am offically a registered nurse now! I'm excited to start working. I have a few interviews scheduled so we'll see how they go.

Then we moved all of our stuff to Vegas for a couple weeks and dashed off to the Phillipines for two weeks to see mom and Dad. I'm so glad we went because it was so fun to see them and to appreciate they do. The mission was beautiful. We visited 5 islands while we were there and met with a general authority Elder Ko and his wife sister Kim. They were so nice and great people. I loved meeting them and hearing them speak. First we spent a day in Hong Kong though because our flight was delayed. The city is amazing! We saw skyscrpaers everywhere!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3iBhoYEEI/AAAAAAAAAJY/K7dlJu9gG4k/s400/100_0865.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358687647476224066" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3iBbO_fMI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/Yu5zSA7tJ8Q/s400/100_0863.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358687645759143106" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3iA8OIUaI/AAAAAAAAAJI/Jg5FekoQxhI/s400/100_0846.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358687637434028450" />

We attended zone conference with the missionaries and met some great elders on the island of Dumagete.
<img style="floall the work at:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3dFK63PwI/AAAAAAAAAIo/j4MNz2MsIBk/s400/100_0874.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358682212541087490" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3dEy7tXCI/AAAAAAAAAIg/9OWy4oD9wF0/s400/100_0869.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358682206102182946" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3dEhUZMEI/AAAAAAAAAIY/bvXCXvs3bB4/s400/100_0868.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358682201373880386" />
Then we took an awesome hike down to 5 story waterfall on the same island with some of the branch members and it so pretty!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3egHtjdzI/AAAAAAAAAJA/WReYwZLEvZQ/s400/100_0881.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358683775048054578" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3efr_659I/AAAAAAAAAI4/O2Nqh9Siu6I/s400/100_0880.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358683767608895442" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3efSkD2RI/AAAAAAAAAIw/RNKE6_ybS78/s400/100_0884.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358683760781154578" />
After Dumagete, we spent three amazing days in Bohol at a beach resort there. It was great because you could walk out on the beach right from our door. The ocean was like a lake because it was so warm and calm. The food was amazing! I had so much to eat becuase everything was so cheap. The mangos there are the best! They are soft and sweet.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3jE1aHDeI/AAAAAAAAAKA/zgAa0f6A1k0/s400/100_0927.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358688803836333538" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3jEZ5ug0I/AAAAAAAAAJ4/ixXgGes1E10/s400/100_0921.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358688796452750146" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3jD64CfyI/AAAAAAAAAJw/I2xK8ZmaKxg/s400/100_0922.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358688788124172066" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3jDjtH7MI/AAAAAAAAAJo/CohRfz9wR9c/s400/100_0926.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358688781904374978" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3jDY7R1xI/AAAAAAAAAJg/O4QXGXOHU8U/s400/100_0946.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358688779010955026" />
While on Bohol we also saw the Tashier monkies which are only found on that island in the whole world. Then we went to the choclolate hills to see the volcanoes that aren't fully formed. They were awesome. We then went to Cebu to chill at Mom and Dad's house and we visited an old Spanish fort built in 1521 AD. We also we able to see the Cebu Temple site. It was beautiful! The whole trip was great and we were sad to leave! We loved spending time with mom and dad and seeing the church in a different part of the world. I will post more on our stay in Vegas when I can upload more pictures!
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3mCcP1F8I/AAAAAAAAAKo/nVG6Wdk_dHs/s400/100_0968.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358692061257471938" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3mB67slYI/AAAAAAAAAKg/HG1SVnqf14g/s400/100_0966.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358692052314658178" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3mBrxXK8I/AAAAAAAAAKY/vsl3TqJquxU/s400/100_0954.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358692048244779970" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3mBS0YOoI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/-aQQAR-JC9A/s400/100_0967.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358692041546545794" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/Sl3mBP1ZajI/AAAAAAAAAKI/pMuVLrVs3rI/s400/100_0952.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358692040745511474" />

We are the Champions My Friends

So we made it to graduation!!!! An event we were sure was probably made up by other older people to make you feel better about going to school eternally. :) It feels great to be done and even though there are things we will definitely miss about BYU, we are excited to move on with life and go to Arkansas. Seth graduated in political science and I finished in nursing. The graduation ceremony was great because we got to walk together. President Utchdorf spoke along with Elder Nelson so we got some great parting wisdom. The week started off with a crazy snow storm and ended with rain but graduation day was divine. We spent lots of time with family and friends and loved every minute of being with everyone. We are so thankful to our family for making the trip up to see us and for everyone who was so generous to us. Pretty much, life is good.

<img style="float:left; We have been waiting anxiously for law schools to return some kind of notice and at this point wouldn't mind a rejection or acceptance letter just as long as we can get the process over with. Last week Seth went to Minneapolis to check out one of the schools he got into and all we can say is "cold". It was a good school, but getting off the plane to 4 degrees isn't any fun! Especially when the wind chill made it -12! Not something that is very encouraging for two Las Vegas kids, but we will see if we go there. Seth also just got accepted to Gonzaga the other day with a scholarship. Gonzaga is in Washington so the climate is great! We are now in a dilemma...

We have two schools to choose from and about 8 schools to still wait for. Thus, life is on hold. But the only thing Seth is thinking is that Gonzaga has a great basketball team! Ours was wonderful because we both had no work or school. I think this could be a record for how many hours in a row we have spent together since we've been married. From morning till night we had nothing to do but be with each other! It was awesome. Of course it snowed like crazy here but that is typical once you finally have time to do something fun together. We surprised each other in the morning with our gifts and then we went to the temple to do sealings.

It was a romantic way to spend time together because sealings entail the same marriage ceremony that we went through when we got married, only now we can go back and do this marriage ceremony for our dead loved ones. We believe being sealed together entails not only being married in this life, but that we can be with our families forever after we die.

Anyways it was a great reminder of our wedding day and how happy we are that our marriage can last forever and not just until one of us dies. I'm so grateful to know that. Then after the temple we went out to eat at this awesome little Chinese place for lunch. Then we took a blessed two-hour nap and when we got up we browsed Craig's list for housing options in Minnesota should we choose to go there for law school. Then the night ended with us cooking a shrimp dinner with cherry Oreo cheesecake for dessert. I love food, it's a great way to celebrate. Anyways, hope you all had a wonderful day enjoying your sweethearts and the people you love in your life! We love you!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SZiIExCcDjI/AAAAAAAAAHM/d8P1fC2IeUI/s400/100_0827.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303138176693177906" />

Basketball Video

I just found an interesting story that I thought was pretty neat. I know it doesn't have much to do with us, but you can always use a story about something good.

By the way, we are doing really well and are excited to know that school is getting closer and closer to being finished. We both graduate in April and are so excited to move to the next stage of life. Nat is still working at the State Hospital and Seth is working as a Teaching Assistant. Natalie is working at the Utah Valley Hospital's Intensive Care Unit for her capstone and putting together a project about the effects of not changing IV lines on patient health. Seth is enjoying his final classes in political science and is doing a capstone paper on the "The Importance of Protecting the George Washington Monomythic Cult". Basically, protecting old George's image within society. We are also excited to start hearing from Law schools during the next month or two. So far Seth has gotten two letters and is 1-1. Seth was accepted to the University of St. Thomas Law School and rejected at the University of Arkansas -Fayetteville. Who wants to live in Arkansas anyways!! So we are doing well.

We hope everyone is great and we send our love to all of you this wintery time of year.

Love the Waites

The holidays- what a  blast!!!!

Oh it kind of feels like a downer to go back to school after such a wonderful break! From Thanksgiving to New Years, we have just loved being with family and being out of Provo for a while. It's nice in some ways to get back to a routine, but it was wonderful to be home. Thanksgiving was spent at Grandpa and Grandma Waite's with lots of good food!

Grandma and Grandpa Waite's - Thanksgiving 2008
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWEjE8L5TwI/AAAAAAAAAFU/RT0nJwQ2t8g/s400/100_0807.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287546005292142338" />

Then in December my birthday came and it was awesome! I spent the day Christmas shopping and pampering myself with a new hair cut and a pedicure. Then Seth took me out for a sparkling evening of romance and holiday spirit. :) We went to the Rodizio grill in Salt Lake which has some of the best Brazilian food ever! We starved ourselves all day so we could truly savor the meal :) Then we went to the Mormon Tabernacle choir Christmas concert and saw Jeanette dance! She did an awesome job and the choir was okay :), no they were awesome too. The whole thing was great!

Nat's Birthday
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWEjsDmQ5VI/AAAAAAAAAF8/ZohPenZohxs/s400/100_0817.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287546677296686418" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWEjrzv2O9I/AAAAAAAAAF0/nbTwN3Q8Qi4/s400/100_0816.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287546673041914834" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWEjrm-dbGI/AAAAAAAAAFs/uEKKo__COX0/s400/100_0814.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287546669613542498" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWEjreR8JvI/AAAAAAAAAFk/Hwf7wpp5xLg/s400/100_0811.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287546667279329010" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWEjqorbtCI/AAAAAAAAAFc/Y4GyvEcZChs/s400/100_0810.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287546652890739746" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWEjE8L5TwI/AAAAAAAAAFU/RT0nJwQ2t8g/s400/100_0807.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287546005292142338" />

We also had an Elder's quorum Christmas party with Pailla (Spanish Seafood Dish)and were blessed with an entire catering dish of it to survive on throughout Finals week! It was delicious and we barely finished it all ourselves.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWElwsIA1XI/AAAAAAAAAHE/C_6PbTLg_NM/s400/000_0056.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287548955918390642" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SWElwRTKoMI/AAAAAAAAAG8/zR61Wd5Ksfw/s400/000_0055.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287548948717412546" />

Then in a whirlwind finals came and went and Jeanette and I found ourselves driving into Vegas anticipating a warm sunny Christmas only to be met head on by what I would characterize as a blizzard. Oh the irony of it all ! So needless to say there was a snow day for all the kids in Vegas the following day because the city was beside itself as to what to do about 3 inches of snow :). Christmas was wonderful, a little weird with my parents being across the planet but we got to talk to both them and Mike and it was great. I can't believe Mike will be coming home in October. Time flies. We got to spend time with Seth's family too which was wonderful! I love being able to see both families at the same time. For a great Christmas present, Seth finally got his LSAT score back and was able to turn in all his applications for law school. We went to our ward party and dressed up like an 80's rock star and Michael Phelps! It was fun to get ready and dress up and there was a good turn out at the activity. I know I know I'm waiting for the applause. Sorry I've been so lame at writing, but I have enjoyed reading all of you guy's stuff :) So Seth and I had another amazing adventure on Friday with our wonderful friends Preston and Jeanette. We decided that in the spirit of Halloween, we would go get lost in a corn maze shaped like David Archuleta! Scary huh... only in Utah.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 378px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SQUaYDoEH8I/AAAAAAAAAEc/xzpeSRztow4/s400/maze_2008.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5261640740244824002" />

We went out to the Cornbelly's maze at Thanksgiving point, which is on the way to Salt Lake. It was way fun. We shot a pumpkin blaster, rode a cow train, took a hay ride, raced go carts, and Preston dominated the mechanical bull for like three minutes:) It was a grand time :)

So what else have we been up to? I know you're all dying to know. I just finished my last rotation in the ICU (intensive care unit) at the hospital this past week! Yea!!!!!That clinical has been keeping me extremely busy, but I've really like it! I especially have loved the shock/trauma and the cardiac ICUs that I've been in. Now I just have my psychiatric rotation left for this semester and then next semester my capstone. Then I have to pass a test and I will finally be a registered nurse, after years of blood sweat and tears (not all necessarily mine). Right now for work I'm an LPN at the state mental hospital. My days at work really are crazy :) I've liked it okay though.

Seth is an LSAT fiend! He's studying what little of a butt he has right off every week. I've been really proud of the effort he's been putting in. Hopefully it will pay off when he takes the test Dec. 6. Other than that, he's working as a TA and is putting together an experiment with one of his professors on Mormons. Interesting subject huh :) It should be cool, the project will explore Mormons and social capital. I'd further expound upon what that means, but I don't really know, so I'll leave that to Seth. :) Well that's our overly fun-filled exotic lives. We love you all and hope everyone is doing well. That's all folks!

Prop 8

Many people have not heard about the current legal disaster that has occurred in California. In 2000 Californians saw Proposition 22 on their ballot, and voted it into law with a 61% approval. The act in 2000 made law of 14 simple words "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."

This summer 4 activist judges decided to overturn the decision by the California voters! Proposition 8 is the way that Californians can say "No" to activist judges that take away their vote. The current proposition will restore those 14 simple words into California law by adding them to the California Constitution. This way, activist judges wont be able to overturn the people's vote.

This proposition is very important, because California is the just the beginning. Other states currently have "untraditional" marriage, but with a population of 35 million this could change the nation. The fact that activist judges overturned the law in California could encourage judges throughout the United States! This could become an epidemic of moral delinquency.

For more information you can check out this simple site:

Yes on Proposition 8, California 2008

By the way, I promise to use this less for political matters. Tomorrow we are going to the BYU football game vs. UCLA. GO COUGARS! So maybe this time we will take our camera and actually take some pictures. I am guessing it is because I am a Political Science major and politics are about all I really talk about. If you don't believe me, ask Natalie! With all the questions I decided to let everyone know my thoughts on McCain's pick. Like everything I say, you can disregard it if you don't agree!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SMK33ZXBLVI/AAAAAAAAADk/is2JAsXnip4/s400/Sarah_Palin.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5242955078540799314" />

So before I get started I do want you to know that I think she was a "political" pick all the way, but so was Joe Biden. The Republicans needed someone younger, a Washington outsider, and a progressive gender or racial trump card. The Democrats chose Joe Biden because they needed someone old, gray haired, established, and focused on foreign policy. To both party's choices I would say "Good Job"!

Sarah Palin (Pail-in)[I put the pronunciation because America and I have been slaughtering her name] or rather what I like to call Sarah "Kick Your Butt" Palin, has done a good job as establishing herself as the Republican VP. Her speech in the convention was practiced, authoritative, and delivered for the base of conservative Republicans. She quickly showed that she was just as worthy of the position of McCain's "VP Attack Dog" or "Hatchet Man/Woman" as the other VP candidates.

In her acceptance speech of the Republican National Convention she rips upon Obama in a hard-hitting, straight-talk dialogue. I don't think she wrote the speech, but neither does Obama, Biden, McCain, or any other major candidate in any recent election. I thought she did quite well though in her presentation. The video below is just 3 and a half minutes of the speech in which she focuses on Obama.

The next video is another 3 minute clip of Palin's speech. In this she talks about John McCain's qualities and why he is great for the White House. My favorite part of her speech is when she rips upon Harry Reid(Nevada Senator, Majority Leader (Dems)and not someone I like).

My feelings are this:

1. Morally Strong
Palin votes well according to my beliefs. Her views on moral issues are as follows:

Abortion
* Rejected sympathy for Down's Syndrome son, Son is gift from God. (Aug 2008)
* Opposes stem cell research. (Aug 2008)
* Every baby is created with a future and potential. (Aug 2008)
* Adoption is best plan for permanency for foster care kids. (Oct 2007)
* Pro-life. (Nov 2006)
* Only exception for abortion is if mother's life would end. (Jul 2006)

Marriage
"I am pro-life and I believe that marriage should only be between and man and a woman. I am opposed to any expansion of gambling in Alaska.""Issues" Nov 7, 2006

Question and Answer session during her Governor's race:
Q: In relationship to families, what are your top three priorities if elected governor?

A: 1. Creating an atmosphere where parents feel welcome to choose the venues of education for their children.
2. Preserving the definition of "marriage" as defined in our constitution.
3. Cracking down on the things that harm family life: gangs, drug use, and infringement of our liberties including attacks on our 2nd Amendment rights.
Source: Eagle Forum 2006 Gubernatorial Candidate Questionnaire Jul 31, 2006

2. Popular
Palin is popular. That is not always a good reason to like someone (remember school and the popular kids) but if you believe that they are the better pick than it sure is important! Right now the polls show that Palin is more popular than Barack Obama and John McCain. I think this will be a key to Republican success November 4th, Palin needs to be used and touted as the key figure of her party. For more poll information on all of the presidential race and other political information check out: www.pollster.com (It has nice, easily understood graphs and maps)

3. Executive Experience
Although she has been touted by the media and the Obama camp as not experienced, she is just as experienced as the rest of the bunch! Obama has very little experience in retrospect of how long he has presumed to be a member of the Senate. He has written 2 personal memoirs and ran for President all of the years he has been in the U.S. Senate but one. That's not a lot of real experience. Before that Obama was a State Legislator, and believe me (I've interned for two State Legislators)it is definitely not the same as national experience! So looking at Palin she was a Mayor and Governor. She doesn't come from the most populous state in the U.S. but it is the largest! It is also home to the most natural resources (i.e. natural energy). The position of Governor as well is the best preparation for President. She was not a Governor long, but she did have to do all of the things Governors do (budget, work with Legislature, appoint judges, run all state executive agencies, use all state funds, and negotiate with other states and corporate partners). I would say that this is significant experience for being a member of the Executive Branch. Even McCain, Obama, and Biden in my opinion have very little relevant experience to be President. Being a politician is not the same as President, where you actually have to run things!

Well those are just a very small amount of my thoughts on the issue! I am interested in your thoughts on Palin, so click our poll to let us know what you think. Also remember, politics do matter, they choose our judges which determine in large part the state of our nation!

Journey to the Center of Emerald Lake

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SLsy46WhaxI/AAAAAAAAAC8/bZSWLg4hGsY/s320/038.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240838544693488402" />

This weekend we decided to conquer the towering peaks of Mount Timpanogos. Distant memories of chilling glaciers and the crystal clear deep waters of Emerald Lake were close to our hearts as we commenced our expedition.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SLszy98FW4I/AAAAAAAAADE/5vO0uY4Ixps/s320/029.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240839542088752002" />

As we furthered our expedition into the Wasatch wilderness, our spirits soared as we found a beautiful waterfall in the lush forest.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SLs1F2s62lI/AAAAAAAAADM/WonOKE3lCtQ/s320/032.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240840966075243090" />

After refreshment in the beautiful falls, the journey continued up and up and up. The peak of the mountain continued to loom as visions of the summit and it's beautiful lake continued to dance in our minds. The peak was more elusive as we continued to wind up the spiraling trails of the mountain.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SLs2Kf5-jmI/AAAAAAAAADU/Oc3YvmskKUw/s320/044.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240842145366969954" />

As we reached the summit our eyes were readied to see the glorious Emerald Lake that lapped upon the glaciers of the mountain. To our astonishment the lake had dwindled into a swampy pond! Our expedition was now starving, thirsty, and amazed at the loss of the once refreshing crystal waters.
To rejuvenate our spirits we reached into our packs for the ever ready (and very hardy) loaf of French bread. As we broke bread for a late lunch our bodies absorbed the tough bread in efforts to sustain life on the now desolate ridge.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_m4smPVXEd5U/SLs3zJdHBUI/AAAAAAAAADc/X4Lr0anOU1I/s320/034.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5240843943226574146" />

The pond was so small!
